We believe that high quality original data tailored to answer specific questions about human behavior can improve our understanding of a range of social and economic phenomena, in particular poverty and inequality.
Questions that we ask are inspired by insights from economics and psychology. To find answers, we use tools from experimental economics and collect new data among people in different parts of the world.
We are a group of researchers who work at academic institutions in Prague,
Czech Republic – at the Institute of Economic Studies, Faculty of Social
Siences, Charles University and at CERGE-EI (a joint workplace of Charles
University and Czech Academy of Sciences). Results of our work are published as
academic papers and we present them at international conferences.
The aim of this website is to make our findings easily accessible also to non-academic audience - to people who may find it useful for their professional work and to anyone who shares interest in these types of issues.
